This position is seasonal.
Direction will be provided by the Business/Tourism & Development Coordinator as authorized by the Manager. This seasonal position requires the knowledge and ability to handle a diversity of tasks under minimal supervision as the Town’s first exposure to the public.
This seasonal position interacts with visitors in a professional, courteous and friendly manner providing knowledge of tourism-related services critical to the establishment of a positive image for the Town. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to a range of customer service, public relation, and reception duties.
Due to the nature of this position the successful candidates will be expected to work an average of 35 hours per week and must be available for day time and weekend shifts, including holidays. Hours of operation for the Visitor Information Centre (VIC) are from 9am – 5pm daily for the season. Position to commence May 4, 2012.
