Sundre and area residents asked to show support for local tourism industry
Sundre and area residents are being asked to attend a rally and show support for their local tourism sector.
The rally will be held over the lunch hour, July 30 at the Sundre District Historical Society & Pioneer Village Museum.
The rally, being organized by Sundre & District Chamber of Commerce and Blake Richards, Member of Parliament for the constituency of Wild Rose, will show support for a vital segment of the local economy.
“The Sundre area has and offers many first-class recreational opportunities. We’re seeking to get the word out that local tourism attractions are open for business,” said Richards.
Chamber President Sherry Tytkanych agrees. “We are blessed to live and work in one of the most beautiful places in Alberta,” she said. “We need to let people know that this has not changed.”
Local and regional media are being encouraged to attend the event, enabling Sundre residents to share their message with the rest of Alberta.
