Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Industry Relations, North, the Industry Relations Manager, Edmonton Region, is responsible for linking tourism industry stakeholders to Travel Alberta’s strategic direction and marketing opportunities and for relaying regional opportunities and issues to Travel Alberta.  This position is vital to the organization’s strategic commitment to enhancing ongoing working relationships and fostering cooperation across levels of the Alberta tourism industry.  As such, the Industry Relations Manager, Edmonton Region will be required to liaise with industry operators, destination marketing organizations and various government departments.   

Position Requirements

As Industry Relations Manager, Edmonton Region, you understand the intricacies of the tourism industry and its stakeholders.  You have experience working with the tourism industry and its stakeholders as well as with tourism marketing activities.  Your experience with political relationship management and your ability to listen, collaborate, facilitate and build consensus with industry will enable you to act with conviction. Your energy and ability to recognize the impact of key challenges facing industry will enable you to provide marketing consultation and learning opportunities that engage industry partners throughout the Edmonton region. 

A bachelor degree in business or related field with a focus on tourism and/or marketing, combined with 5 years in a tourism role, and a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role is required.  Dedication and passion for tourism and marketing has taken your career to this point. Special Requirements

Frequent in-province travel. This position is based in the Edmonton office.
