The Marketing Manager of Attractions will be responsible for planning, overseeing, evaluating and reviewing the West Edmonton Mall (WEM) Attractions strategy in order to increase traffic and income through advertising, promotions & events.
-Overseeing the marketing and promotions strategies of WEM’s attractions including Galaxyland, World Waterpark, Ice Palace, Sea Life Caverns, Sea Lions Rock, Deep Sea Adventure, Professor WEM’s Adventure Golf, Ed’s Rec Room, Putt ‘n’ Glow and Ropes Quest.
-Leading the development and coordination of marketing initiatives designed to achieve traffic and revenue goals for events and attractions.
-Overseeing the creation and implementation of all marketing and promotions materials for the Parks and Attractions including all collateral materials, signage, website content, and social media initiatives.
-Developing and overseeing annual ticketing pricing and discount plans, coupons and supporting material.
-Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with our internal Attractions Managers, external vendors, partners and related industry representatives.
-Creating, implementing, and monitoring the Attractions Marketing budget, staff and administrative processes.
-Completion of a Marketing degree or diploma from a recognized post secondary intuition.
-Three (3) - five (5) years of related campaign and product marketing experience in an equivalent level position.
-Previous experience creating and developing marketing plans and strategies complemented by strong negotiation skills and exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills.
-A high level of professionalism in the workplace with strong creative talents and self driven initiative in the workplace.
-The ability to work in a fast-paced, every-changing environment with proven leadership and supervisory skills and abilities.
-Previous tourism or attractions related marketing experience is an asset for the role.
