Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Communications; the Communication Specialist (Internal) is responsible for the timely coordination of Team Member messaging through a variety of channels to ensure ease of access, clarity and consistency on the information needs of Travel Alberta Team Members. This position provides expertise and direction promoting internal awareness of Travel Alberta information, programs and policies.

Position Requirements

As Communication Specialist (Internal) your knowledge of organizational behavior and corporate culture, together with your use of various communication tools and outlets, will support internal communication initiatives within Travel Alberta. The key to this role’s success is the ability to foster strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and to be a champion of Travel Alberta’s brand internally to ensure one common communication voice.

Your ability to act with conviction combined with your superior communication, organizational, and multitasking skills will help to educate and inform Team Members about the business in a timely manner. This is a newly created role and presents a fantastic opportunity for an individual possessing project management experience with an eye for detail and an interest in researching, gathering and distributing information to address and resolve organizational communication gaps.

Your degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field is complemented with at least three years of progressive communication experience. Your dedication and passion has taken your career to this point. Special Requirements
Some travel is required. Some overtime may be required.

This position is based in the Calgary office.
Classification: Specialist 2, Salary Range: $59,568 - $77,424
Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Employment Status: Permanent
