We are looking for an original and outgoing individual to join our Tourism division as the new B2B Specialist on our Consumer Marketing Team. This role serves as an important team player, contributing to the success of the team through their meetings & conventions campaign support, interaction with local industry, as well as event and international marketing. Whether introducing Edmonton to new and emerging markets, or building on firmly established relationships, we are the connection to all of the city’s unique experiences. The B2B Specialist will work closely with the Consumer Marketing team, specifically on meetings & conventions related marketing activities. A successful mix of travel and tourism passion combined with an imaginative mind is what we are looking for! Having familiarity with campaign planning for meetings & conventions along with ad management would be great assets. Keeping things on brand is just what we need! This role will provide support with projects online and offline, always staying connected to our stakeholders and building on relationships. Superb writing/editing skills and strong interpersonal and communications skills will set this individual up for success. As the go-to person with a keen understanding of business to business marketing, this collaborative marketing guru will deliver an outstanding impression of the team and our city.
This passionate person must have the ability to problem solve, be a self-starter and have a great sense of humour! Do you have the drive to create something big, thriving in Edmonton Tourism’s environment of collaboration and innovation? Working knowledge of online, traditional and cutting-edge marketing practices will be crucial to your role. In addition, you will be a fantastic communicator who excels in our impactful environment and demonstrates the ability to work closely in a caring team to move towards innovative solutions. With excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with Google Analytics (or other analytical systems) this person will be able to plan, execute, and analyze campaigns. Knowledge of greater Edmonton’s tourism/hospitality industries and unique marketing practices would be considered amazing assets to the team!
