The Admissions Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Admissions Manager in providing leadership and direction to the department supervisors and cashiers that provide daily quality-ticketing and admissions services to the guests of West Edmonton Mall's parks and attractions.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Managing a comprehensive point of sale system, preparing reports and establishing effective cash controls and monitoring systems.

-Assisting the Admissions Manager in overall staff management and morale in the department including interviewing, performance evaluations, policy monitoring, administration, and staff monitoring.

-Overseeing and facilitating staff training programs that emphasize accurate and and accountable customer friendly financial transactions at the Admissions tills.

-Preparation and management of weekly staff schedules.

-Ensuring department quality assurance as well as developing new and innovative ways to constantly improve the department as a whole.

-Managing staff and procedures in the ticketing process for a variety of large scale special event bookings at West Edmonton Mall's attractions.

-Responding to guest concerns and special requests while utilizing exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills.

Desired Qualifications:

-Experience working successfully with a variety of employees including mentoring many young employees new to the workforce.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills complemented by team building and motivating abilities.

-A minimum of 2 years experience acting as an Assistant Manager/Supervisor in the retail industry or similar operation with staff levels of 25 employees or more.

-Previous operations management experience handling cash and providing quality customer service with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

-Post secondary education in Business Management or related training is a definite asset.

-Enhanced computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office applications.

-Enthusiastic, self-motivated and drive by results and extensive knowledge of West Edmonton Mall's attractions.

-Applicants must have a flexible schedule that allows for some evenings and weekend work.
