Reporting to the Director, MC&IT; the Specialist, MC&IT position facilitates administrative and marketing projects that contribute to the strategic and tactical proficiency of the business unit. This position works collaboratively with In-market Business Development Directors, business units within Travel Alberta as well as with industry partners and vendors. This role is responsible for administration, supporting tradeshows, client events, sales calls & missions, print and online advertising, client database and developing brand awareness with collateral material.
As Specialist, MC&IT you understand the tourism industry, marketing processes and trends. Your skills in business communications, budgets, presentation and report creation will be of value. Your strong ability in critical thinking, creativity and multitasking are an asset in this position. A positive attitude and collaborative approach enhances your ability to build relationships with team members and external partners. Three years of progressive marketing experience along with your Bachelor’s Degree or related diploma in Marketing, Tourism or Business is preferred.
Some travel may be required. Some overtime may be required.
This position is based in the Calgary office.
Classification: Specialist 1, Salary Range: $54,144 - $70,392
Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Employment Status: Permanent
