Position Summary:

The Sales and Marketing Coordinator  at Canmore Business and Tourism reports to the Vice-President, Business Development whose role is responsible for development of Travel Trade and MCIT business opportunities in alignment with corporate and community brand, as well as the overall development and promotion of Canmore Kananaskis as a Travel Trade and MCIT destination. The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will provide sales and administrative support to the Vice-President, Business Development through a combination of office-based work: active sales travel, organization and hosting of familiarization tours, organization and attendance of trade shows, lead-follow up and other activities as directed by the VP in delivery of the Business Development mandate.

Role Requirements:

  • Exceptional knowledge of and passion for Canmore Kananaskis
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational ability, ability to work under pressure, and a strong self-motivation to meet targets
  • Strong understanding of the Travel Trade and MCIT markets
  • Experience in developing long-term sales relationships and partnerships
  • Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders and to understand stakeholder needs
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational ability, ability to work under pressure, and a strong self-motivation to meet targets
  • Accountability for measurable, high quality, timely results
  • Experience with Social Media and Web Content Management Systems an asset
