Massage Therapists

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Body Technician Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service 
  • Perform all 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 minute massage and body treatments, as certified/trained to do.
  • Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to needs and expectation
  • Maintain clean and neat work environment at all times, ensuring all equipment in safe working order.
  • Maintain current professional licenses, CPR, First Aid.
  • Support other teams within department as required, i.e. Spa Attendants, Spa Reception.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience is an asset 
  • 2200 hour program
  • Graduate from an accredited school of massage with a massage license.
  • Registered within province of Alberta prior to beginning employment.
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
  • Lifting -Under 20lbs 10% of work time. 
  • Pushing -35lbs pressure through wrists 80% of work time. 
  • Motions -Bending, standing, reaching, and working with hands, arms, and fingers continuously throughout workday. 
  • Work Environment -Indoors, with very limited exposure to sunlight. 

Aesthetician - Willow Stream Spa

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Aesthetics, Salon, and Boutique Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Perform nail services, facials, waxing and make up on guests using safe and professional techniques
  • Participate in regular incentives and retail goal setting
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility.
  • Assist in any and all ways in the beauty salon when not scheduled to perform facial or nail services. This assistance is to include selling and restocking professional retail skin care and hair care products.
  • Constantly maintain an up to date knowledge of the personal services performed and any revisions in the products or procedures used.
  • Ensure current trends in Aesthetic industry.
  • Initially the aesthetician is trained in all manicures and pedicures, waxing and tinting. After mastering these services, based on performance, training is then offered in make up, 30, 45, 60 & 90 minute facials.
  • Participate in on-going in-house training opportunities in our product lines and services
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: 
  • Previous experience in a Spa preferred
  • Certification from an accredited school of Aesthetics required
  • All professional licenses are to be current

Second Cook

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Chef de Partie on duty
  • Prepare, cook and service all food items for a la carte and or buffet menus according to the recipes and standards.
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items in your area; participate in the creation of daily features and promotions 
  • Receiving product, and storing with proper rotation.
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment, counter tops, and shelves, reporting any areas and equipment in need of a work order.

Junior Sous Chef

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Sous Chef
  • Lead, teach, coach and inspire all department colleagues. Conduct Performance Reviews and Performance Manage any areas in need of improvement.
  • Recruit new colleagues for the Banquet Kitchen.
  • Responsible for the day to day, on site operations of the kitchen. Create the weekly schedule based on the Forecasted Covers for the week
  • Accountable for the cleanliness and maintenance of all equipment, counter tops, and shelves, entering work orders for any area and equipment in need of repair
  • Ensure all required items are ordered through Birchstreet on a daily basis.
  • Train and develop department colleagues, setting them up for success. 
  • Demonstrate professional conduct with all colleagues, with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments (eg. Banquets, Stewarding), and is responsible for timing and communication with those departments.
  • Assist the Sous Chef update Recipe Standards and develop new menus and concepts.

  • Enforce a safe work environment for all colleagues and guests by upholding the Safety rules provided by The Fairmont Banff Springs and the Culinary Department.
