Travel Alberta is poised for its journey of excellence to become Canada’s pre-eminent tourism marketing agency. Collaborating with private and public sectors at home and internationally, Travel Alberta will develop and deliver research-based marketing programs to enable the tourism economy in Alberta to grow and prosper.
Reporting to the Development Manager; the Web Specialist is responsible for understanding Travel Alberta’s business and marketing goals and helping define strategy, content and features for Travel Alberta’s website properties. This role is multifaceted and involves responsibilities in areas of business analysis, information architecture, interactive design, content management, quality assurance testing and website analytics.
As Web Specialist you understand the importance of using communication and analytical skills to interpret the business and user needs and translate them into technical requirements. Your knowledge of website design and development methodology along with your collaborative approach to problem solving enables you to plan and be accountable for results. Your education in Information Sciences, Computer Science, Graphic Design or related field is complemented with at least three years of information architecture and web design experience. Your dedication and passion has taken your career to this point. Now, it is time to advance to a new level by stepping into Travel Alberta’s exciting working environment!
Some overtime may be required.
This position is based in the Calgary office.
Classification: Specialist 3, Salary Range: $65,496 – $85,176
Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Employment Status: Term
