Position Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director, e-Marketing; the Director, Consumer Digital Marketing is responsible for leading the continual evolution of Travel Alberta’s multinational web, mobile, and email marketing efforts. Through the evaluation of digital channel performance and evolving consumer behaviors, the Director Consumer Digital Marketing will develop demand generation strategies to increase awareness of and nurture traveler interest in Alberta. The Director, Consumer Digital Marketing will help develop high-energy multi-disciplinary teams that reflect the culture and brand of Travel Alberta.   

Position Requirements

As Director, Consumer Digital Marketing, you have a strong understanding of brand strategy, digital consumer behaviours, and have an enthusiasm for connecting, empowering and communicating with travelers. You are a seasoned digital marketing strategist with a hands-on approach to planning for and delivering results.  Your ability to work autonomously combined with your analytical, collaborative and organized approach to the development of digital channel strategies will influence Travel Alberta’s direction and execution of multinational marketing campaigns. Your superior communication skills will educate Team Members and nurture partnerships with members of the tourism industry.  

Your degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Statistics will be complemented with at least five years of experience leading the development of web, mobile, social and email marketing strategies for multinational consumer brands. Your dedication and passion for digital marketing has taken your career to this point. Now, it is time to advance to a new level by stepping into Travel Alberta’s exciting work environment!     

Special Requirements

Some travel may be required. This position is based in the Calgary office.
