Reporting to the Manager, Global Content, the Specialist, Global Content is responsible for the delivery of timely and impactful copy as a key component of the global content strategy. This position will also support the efficient administration of the content management lifecycle and will provide guidance and training on Travel Alberta copywriting style and best practice as required.
The Specialist, Global Content will regularly partner and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including team members, industry partners and third party vendors, in order to meet business unit content needs and/or to support Travel Alberta’s global brand and marketing objectives.
As Specialist, Global Content you understand the importance of compelling content that supports the organization’s brand and marketing strategies for a range of audience groups and channels. Your exceptional copywriting, editing and proofing skills will ensure that all written content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice. Projects are varied and time sensitive, requiring a high degree of creative thinking, multi-tasking, prioritizing and analytical decision making skills to ensure quality and timeliness of messaging.
Your superior communication skills and attention to detail, together with your ability to act with conviction will allow you to establish and maintain relationships and partnerships with business units, industry partners and third party vendors. You have demonstrated problem solving abilities and can gather and analyze information skillfully in order to identify opportunities and resolve problems in a timely manner, You are also able to work both independently and in a team-orientated work environment.
Your degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, PR, Business or related field is complemented with three to five or more years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in content creation, management and publishing. Your dedication and passion in branding and marketing has taken your career to this point. Now, it is time to advance to a new level by stepping into Travel Alberta’s exciting working environment!
Some travel is required.
This position is based in the Calgary office.
Classification: Specialist 2, Salary Range: $59,568 - $77,424
Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Employment Status: Permanent
