Tourism Jasper launches More Breathing Room campaign

Jasper's new integrated regional marketing campaign will encourage visitors to come to Jasper in May and June for "More Breathing Room".

Ask any local and they’ll tell you May and June are ideal months to visit Jasper - warm weather, long days, guaranteed wildlife sightings, good value and few people. Capitalizing on these features, Tourism Jasper has initiated More Breathing Room - a marketing campaign consisting of radio, print, online, mobile, and social media targeting areas such as Hinton, Edson, Whitecourt, Grande Prairie and Edmonton.

Not only do Jasper the Bear’s friends and family come out of hibernation in May, but seasonal accommodations have unlocked their doors and summer-fueled activities are opened for business. The Jasper Tramway has already started carrying people up the mountain, the #1 Resort Golf Course in Canada is in full swing, Jasper Motorcycle Tours are revved up, and rafts are floating on the Athabasca. The Columbia Icefield is open for glacier adventure and the iconic Maligne Lake Chalet isn’t far behind. It’s scheduled to welcome visitors in mid-May and people can (usually) start cruising in early June. Jasper is revving up for a great summer.

Through this marketing campaign, visitors will be encouraged to choose Jasper to enjoy the spring and summer, reconnect with nature and enjoy More Breathing Room.
