Expression of Interest to Host 2013 AVIP Conference

Interested in showcasing your community? Would your community be interested in hosting next year's Alberta Visitor Information Providers (AVIP) Conference?

 

Each year Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation and the AVIP Advisory Committee organize the AVIP Conference. The goal of the conference is to bring together those involved in the provision of visitor services and information for a day and a half of networking, learning, and sharing and includes the Ammy Awards dinner and presentations.

 

Pre-conference activities take place the day before and are optional for attendees. These activities will showcase partners from your regional area.

 

Attendees come from across the Province and include a variety of tourism-related backgrounds from managers and directors to supervisors and volunteers of visitor information centres, attractions, and museums.

 

A venue(s) will be required that can provide accommodation and conference facilities for a group of approximately 70-75 participants for proposed dates of September 16 – 17, 2013.

Form submission deadline is January 18, 2013

 

The Alberta Visitor Information Providers (AVIP) program is offered by the Visitor Services Branch of Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation. The program is designed to provide training and information support to community and regional visitor information centres (VICs) in Alberta that are interested in promoting all areas of the province.
