Get in the Loop

The Botanical Loop initiative has been designed to promote three botanically-themed attractions in St. Albert. This hop-on, hop-off bus route connects riders to the Enjoy Centre, the St. Albert Farmers’ Market and the St. Albert Botanic Park.

Riders who hop aboard will enjoy an interactive ride with local storytellers sharing funny stories; gain a history of St. Albert, as well as learn interesting facts about the Botanical Arts City. The luggage area above the wheel well will also be full of live plants, further adding to the experience of the Botanical Loop.

“St. Albert is known as the Botanical Arts City, and our attractions are second to none. The Botanical Loop initiative provides tourists with the opportunity to further explore and spend additional time touring, eating and shopping in our city,” says Mayor Nolan Crouse. “It’s an important initiative that helps promote our city throughout the province but also further builds and diversifies our economy in partnership with stakeholders and the community."

Surveys show that of the hundreds of visitors each day that frequent the Enjoy Centre’s boutiques, restaurant, spa and garden centre, an average of 69 per cent are from outside St. Albert. The Farmers’ Market, which is the largest market in Western Canada, attracts 10,000 people every week with 63 per cent of attendees residing outside the city. As well, the St. Albert Botanic Park regularly has visitors from throughout the Capital Region and northern Alberta.
