Tourism marketing excellence recognized at 2015 Anvil Awards

Two of Travel Alberta’s creative marketing videos were recognized at the annual Anvil Awards competition last week in Calgary. Presented by the Ad Rodeo Society, the Anvil Awards recognize creativity and the best work among Calgary advertising agencies.

Travel Alberta’s latest (remember to breathe) video, created by C&B Advertising and featuring music from Reuben and the Dark, won an Anvil in the music category.

The Alberta Story on Skoki Lodge, created by Venture Communications, received an Anvil for videography and a merit in the non-broadcast category.

Travel Alberta congratulates Alberta tourism partners who were also recognized at the awards. Work was showcased from Tourism Jasper, Calgary Stampede, Calgary Zoo, Heritage Park and the Canadian Badlands.

"Alberta's tourism partners continue to raise the bar in marketing excellence year after year," said Royce Chwin, Travel Alberta's Chief Executive Officer. "Our congratulations go out to this year's Anvil Award winners who offer compelling invitations for travellers to explore Alberta."

All Anvil Award winners can be found on the Ad Rodeo website.

The Ad Rodeo Society provides creative professionals the opportunity to meet, talk, learn, mentor and celebrate what they do through several events that culminate in the Anvil Awards each year. For more information visit www.AdRodeo.com.
