New Alberta Planner for Travellers
Hot on the heels of the new tourism brand and the re-creation of travelalberta.com, Travel Alberta continues the journey to bring our brand to life with the development of a new travel planner.
Travel Alberta’s signature marketing piece boasts a new look, a new structure and a new title.
The Official Alberta Travel Planner will help build excitement in youthfully-spirited adventurers who want to see and do everything Alberta has to offer. These are people looking for those “goosebump moments” and the planner will help inspire authentic experiences in Alberta’s breathtaking landscapes.
This year, Travel Alberta included our tourism marketing partners in the development process. Industry working groups were established and invited to share perspectives and feedback which helped steer the presentation of information within the publication.
This collaborative approach is anchored in Travel Alberta’s overall business strategy with the ultimate goal of increasing tourism revenues with compelling invitations to visit Alberta.
The planner is organized into four main sections: Places to Go, Things to Do, Scenic Routes, and Trip Essentials. Some of the new elements to look for include easy access to working pages for the traveller, a fold out map of the province (which also acts as a bookmark), new content focused on road trips and scenic routes and the integration of compelling imagery and experience descriptions from every region of the province.
Travelalberta.com is the principal platform for tourism information on Alberta, and the Alberta Tourism Information Service (ATIS) powers the website. The new planner will direct our customers to travelalberta.com for more information, and as the website becomes more robust with information and package options, it will help refer leads direct to Alberta industry.
This publication will be used in the promotion of Alberta in North America and around the world.
The Official Alberta Travel Planner is now available to view and download at travelalberta.com, to order by calling 1-800-ALBERTA or to pick up at Visitor Information Centres across the province this season.
