Deadline Extended: Nominate a Tourism Hero for Alto Ambassador Award by June 3, 2016
Know any Alberta tourism industry heroes? Recognize those who go "above and beyond" by nominating them for the 2016 Alto Ambassador award. In recognition of Tourism Week in Canada, the deadline for nominations has been extended to Friday, June 3.
“This award honours individuals whose dedication and passion have made an indelible impact on tourism in Alberta,” says Shelley Grollmuss, Travel Alberta’s Vice-President of Industry Development. “Alto Ambassadors are the champions of the tourism industry who inspire us all to do great things.”
The program is industry-driven; nominations must come from a colleague in the Alberta tourism industry. Once submissions are received and evaluated, the Ambassador is chosen by the Alto Awards Committee. The Alto Awards committee is an industry-led committee made up of volunteers from across the province.
Past ambassadors have come from all over the province and from a variety of tourism industry sectors. What they have in common is their leadership in moving Alberta’s tourism industry forward. The publicity and prestige of the award is not only a personal honour, as it also shines a spotlight on the tourism activities in the winner’s region.
Time is running out, so nominate your tourism hero for the Alto Ambassador award by June 3.
