Black Friday Goes White in California

Travel Alberta and 10 Alberta industry partner-ambassadors turned Southern California white on Black Friday with more than 15,000 snowballs and messages about (remember to breathe) and why to visit Alberta this winter.

Media coverage of the flash snowball fight generated almost 70 million consumer impressions worth more than $700,000. Packages offered as part of the campaign are also being leveraged by Travel Alberta. The first story featured dog sledding and was broadcast on November 30 on KTLA-TV in Los Angeles.

A group media visit in January with 10 California media outlets will generate even more publicity for Alberta this winter.
