New Executive Director of the Chinook Country Tourist Association

The Chinook Country Tourist Association (CCTA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nikolaus Wyslouzil as Executive Director of the Association, effective March 14, 2012.

Since 2009, Wyslouzil has been the Advertising & Campaign Manager for CCTA.

Welcoming his appointment, CCTA Board Chair, Gillian Nish, said, "Nikolaus brings an impressive array of experience and tremendous people skills to the role of Executive Director. I feel extremely confident that with Nikolaus' leadership, he will continue to foster and develop even stronger relationships with all of our tourism partners, he will bring fresh and innovative ideas for promoting and marketing southwest Alberta and will strengthen the everyday operations and management of the Association."

Wyslouzil has a wealth of experience in the tourism industry to bring to his new position at CCTA. Prior to his employment with CCTA, he held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for Heritage Inns as well as with Bell Star Hotels in Western Canada. The new Executive Director also brings perspective as Past President of CCTA, as well as a past Executive Director of the Alberta South Tourism Destination Region, part of the Travel Alberta network.

Reflecting on his appointment, Wyslouzil said “I am proud to lead this organization at such an important time. The direction this association is now taking is a monumental step forward for the regional tourism landscape. The opportunities for our stakeholders to benefit from tools provided by CCTA and industry partners, will allow these operators to better position their businesses to access a larger audience. These tools will also aid in supporting them to create more meaningful experiences that will make travel here more memorable.”
