Nominations Open for Tourism Media Alto Award

It’s time to submit your nominations for the 16th Annual Alto Awards, and we are featuring a weekly article about the nine categories available to help you decide which award your tourism business, organization or group deserves to win at the 2016 Travel Alberta Industry Conference!

Alto Category of the Week: Tourism Media

The Alto Tourism Media Award recognizes that the stories of travel media share with their audiences benefit both the tourism industry and travellers. This competition is open to all media – broadcast, print and online – who have produced a tourism oriented piece that showcases Alberta.

Entries will be accepted from the following media: online (blogger, social media influencer, etc.) newspaper, magazine, photo journalist, and broadcast. Work must have been published/produced during a 20-month period (January 1, 2015 to August 31, 2016). Advertorials and brand marketing work produced under contract for promotion are not eligible. Online media must meet the general guidelines for online media. Only one application per individual will be accepted. Previous winning submissions may not be re-submitted.

Nominations must be received no later than 4:30 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016.
