Partnerships behind Cavalia success in Edmonton

Cavalia, the epic equine show, left behind more than just happy faces and memories in Alberta’s capital city.   

The touring show created 160 new local jobs. More than $4 million were spent on local suppliers to ensure the show went off smoothly. The show’s staff alone accounted for 6,100 hotel room nights.    

In promoting the show, Cavalia partnered with 23 restaurants, 10 hotels and a major shopping centre to create buzz and packages for visitors.

Close to 90,000 spectators experienced the beauty of Cavalia in Edmonton.  

The City of Edmonton and Edmonton Economic Development Corporation worked together to attract Cavalia. Edmontonians of all ages embraced the one-of-a-kind event, extending the show dates several times to run from September 11 to October 28.
