The importance of Alberta’s visitor economy can’t be understated. Tourism is an $8.3 billion industry that supports 19,000 businesses and employs more than 127,000 people across every region of the province. Tourism is a core pillar of Alberta’s economy, and central to our government’s commitment to a diversified economy that works for all Albertans.

It also shows how we helped support Team Alberta through dozens of industry-focused initiatives, from province-wide workshops and consultations, to $6.7 million in funding from the Cooperative Marketing Investment Program. Together, we are strengthening Alberta’s competitive position.
