Team Alberta Working Together at Tourism Town Halls

Travel Alberta’s 2016 Tourism Industry Town Halls wrapped up this week with more than 550 tourism partners in attendance at 12 Alberta locations. Travel Alberta and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism would like to extend thanks and appreciation to everyone who participated.

The collaborative spirit of Team Alberta was evident as tourism partners, destination marketers and local operators shared stories and explored opportunities for further alignment in our goal to grow tourism revenues to $10 billion by 2020.

The value of tourism to economic diversification and job creation in Alberta was a key presentation theme. Tourism works for Alberta; it’s an $8 billion industry supporting 19,000 business and 127,000 jobs across the province, and provides $4 billion in tax revenue to all levels of government.
