Brewster Travel Canada Invites Families to Reconnect

For the second year in a row, the “Unplug and Explore” campaign will challenge families in Alberta to disconnect their devices and reconnect as a family.

To encourage participation, Brewster Travel Canada will offer free child tickets to its three attractions, huge savings on stay and play packages and deals on tickets for parents.

“Unplug and Explore was designed to encourage families from Alberta to reconnect by exploring our majestic Mountain Parks,” said Michael Hannan, President, Brewster Travel Canada. “Technology is all around us and its constant use prevents families from interacting and sharing. We want people to put down their devices for 24hrs. and enjoy some of the best attractions in the Canadian Rockies.”  

To access the savings, families need to visit www.unplugexplore.com where they will be instructed to sign a pledge. After pinky swearing to unplug for 24 hours, families will have immediate access to free child tickets to the Banff Gondola, the Banff Lake Cruise and the Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure. Stay and play packages for families are also available for as low as $159 per family. Participating hotels include the Fairmont properties, the Douglas Fir Resort, the Glacier View Inn, the Banff International Hotel and the Mount Royal Hotel.  

Unplugging and sharing can be so rewarding! A Facebook contest encouraging people to share their favorite technology free photos will run from late-June until September. There will be random weekly draws for prizes and a grand prize draw on September 5th.   The “Unplug and Explore” campaign is a partnership between Travel Alberta, Banff Lake Louise Tourism and Brewster Travel Canada.
