Travel Alberta launches 2012 Canada Summer Campaign

Alberta residents represent more than half of Alberta’s $5.5 billion annual tourism revenues and comprise Alberta’s largest single tourism market.

Travel Alberta’s 2012 Canada Summer campaign will focus on road trips to encourage consumers to travel to, around and more often in Alberta this summer. In long-haul markets the focus will be on the top experiences as the primary drivers for travel to Alberta.

The summer campaign will run until August 31, 2012 in Regional (Alberta, Saskatchewan, B.C. Interior) as well as in the B.C. Lower Mainland and in Ottawa.

Look for: 

  • 30-second spots on network television in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Regina, Saskatoon, Prince George, Kelowna, Kamloops, Vancouver, Victoria and Ottawa. 
     
  • Eight full-page insertions to appear in the Calgary Herald and Edmonton Journal twice a month from May through to August. There will be five full-page inserts in the B.C. interior and in Saskatchewan.
     
  • A Summer Magazine showcasing partner packaging, advertising and feature stories. 500,000 copies of the Summer Magazine will be distributed on May 7 in major daily newspapers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and the B.C. Interior.
     
  • Online search engine marketing and social media advertising and engagement.

  • Calgary and Edmonton office tower elevator monitor videos.

  • Various public relations and media events are planned for Toronto, Vancouver Edmonton and Calgary.

Travel Alberta
