  2. Ensure viability of Alberta’s tourism partners critical to the restart of Alberta’s tourism economy

ACTIONS

  • Conduct studies to assess the immediate and long-term impact on tourism industry business and economic recovery for the province

  • Develop a business continuity funding program
  • Develop and share information, insights, business and marketing expertise for industry partners

  2. Connections LIVE education platform
  3. Weekly research posts and distribution

  • Support receptive tour operators (RTOs) to navigate crisis

DESTINATION PROMOTON

Objectives

  1. Prepare for local and domestic market re-entry
  2. Sustain essential international networks

ACTIONS

  • Develop signals framework in alignment with Destination Canada (DC)
  • Develop regional messaging and campaigns
  • Provide up to date market and consumer insights
  • Maintain relations with essential international travel partners to preserve distribution network for future market re-entry
  • Tracking international developments and COVID impacts on strategic accounts and bookings
