10-Year Tourism Strategy Engagement

The 10-Year Tourism Strategy will support the development and sustainability of the province’s tourism industry and lay the foundation to help achieve the government’s bold vision to grow Alberta tourism revenue to $20 billion by 2030. An important element of the Strategy is having conversations with industry about the current state of tourism and how we can grow tourism revenue in the province.

As a tourism stakeholder, you are invited to participate in our stakeholder engagement survey. It will take you approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Survey closes January 24.

At the first 10-Year Tourism Strategy engagement session with industry at the Travel Alberta Industry Conference, 200 industry partners participated in roundtable discussions. Participants were asked to consider the following questions:

1) What does success look like for tourism in Alberta?

2) What are some of the key issues that impact the quality of life for Albertans?  

3) What should we consider in inspiring future travellers to Alberta? 

The eight key themes will be taken into consideration when building the new strategy.

At the Travel Alberta Industry Conference, October 27-29 in Banff, we kicked-off consultation with industry regarding the new 10-Year Tourism Strategy for Alberta.
