Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Travel Trade Canada & USA, the Manager, Travel Trade, Canada & USA is responsible for the development and implementation of brand-integrated marketing plans that support and influence the marketing of Alberta as a tourism destination through key travel trade channels.  This is a critical position in the Travel Trade team as it fosters relationships and aligns partnerships amongst Travel Alberta, travel trade accounts, and Alberta industry stakeholders. This role will provide leadership and be involved in developing programs and online resources that educate, influence and support the travel trade in the promotion of Alberta travel experiences.     

Position Requirements

As Manager, Travel Trade, Canada & USA you understand the intricacies of tourism marketing and establishing B2B relationships to leverage third party trade channels.  Your innovative and collaborative approach to program development will enable you to lead Travel Alberta to the forefront of Canada’s travel trade industry.  Your ability to act with conviction will establish and maintain relationships and partnerships that influence the promotion of Alberta. Your leading-edge concept development, refined online technical skills and ability to manage projects of multiple scopes will allow you to develop and execute on unique opportunities that enhance Alberta’s position in the market.  

Your diploma or degree in Marketing, Tourism or related field will be complemented with at least five years of progressive tourism marketing experience.  Your dedication and passion in branding and marketing has taken your career to this point. Now, it is time to advance to a new level by stepping into Travel Alberta’s exciting work environment!

Travel (domestic and international) is required. This position is based in the Calgary office.  Employment: Full Time
