The St Albert Heritage Sites is looking for enthusiastic individuals who demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, and enjoy working with people of all ages.

Seasonal Interpreters work as part of a team leading pre-booked school programs, planning special events and providing informative, engaging tours of the heritage buildings and historic sites. The heritage buildings include two provincially designated grain elevators, a two-room schoolhouse, a log house, and two river lots.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Background in history, museum studies, agriculture, education or performing arts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Collaborative skills to work in a team environment
  • Experience interacting with children
  • Current Standard First Aid Certificate

Term: Monday May 2, 2016 to Monday September 5, 2016

Job Type: Seasonal, full time (37.50 hours weekly)

Job Location: St Albert Grain Elevator Site, 4A Meadowview Drive, St Albert, AB

Workdays: 5 days a week, work schedule requires weekend work, holiday Mondays and occasional evenings

Wage: $15 - $15.50 per hour
