The Food Service & Hospitality Manager reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for successfully running the food service and catering operations at the Rosebud Mercantile. This is a full-time permanent position with excellent benefits after a six-month probationary period.


- Management oversight of all food and hospitality services at the Rosebud Mercantile including the 225-seat theatre buffet restaurant, the 36-seat Wild Horse Jack’s menu restaurant, the Rosebud Gift Shop, the Mercantile brand of preserves, and the Encana Conference Centre
- All phases of the operation, including planning, budgeting, and controlling expenditures
- Staffing and scheduling
- Manage multiple projects including off-site catering
- Work with all levels of management to ensure timelines and quality


- 3+ years Food Service management experience
- Previous experience as Executive Chef, Catering Manager, or in Culinary/Food Service management
- Ability to control food and labour costs
- Strong motivator and mentor
- Detail oriented and strong team player capable of thinking on his/her feet
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Can accommodate flexible work schedule
- Ensure high standards for both food and customer service


- Culinary background
- Ability to adapt to current trends
- Good computer skills
