Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Administration; the Specialist, Finance and Administration is responsible for accounts payable and expense claims processing, for contracts and agreements coordination and quarterly reporting. This multi-disciplinary role will support the Finance and Administration business unit as it delivers the operational needs of the organization.  

Position Requirements

As Specialist, Finance and Administration you have knowledge of the full accounting cycle and understand the importance of timely and accurate processing of accounting information. Your superior organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills will enable you to plan and direct financial and administrative processes. Your service-driven attitude and ability to analyze and interpret reports will support the business unit’s effectiveness. Your technological aptitude, knowledge of GAAP as well as your communication skills enhances your ability to support team members and interact with vendors in a proactive way. Your knowledge of AX accounting system is an asset.  

Your business or administrative diploma complimented with two or more years of administrative and progressive accounting experience has prepared you for this next challenge in your career. Your dedication and passion has taken you to this point. Now, it is time to advance to a new level by stepping into Travel Alberta’s exciting working environment!

Some overtime may be required.

This position is based in the Calgary office. Classification: Specialist 1, Salary Range: $56,328 - $73,224 Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Employment Status: 1 Year Term
