The Shaw Conference Centre (SCC), a division of the Edmonton Economic Development, has established itself as one of Canada’s premier meeting, entertainment, and convention venues.

At SCC we strive to provide an exceptional guest experience, consultative customer approach, connect with the community, leaders in sustainability and safety. As the demand for convention space continues to grow, the Shaw Conference Centre is looking to hire a Sales Manager to join our team. 

This newly created Sales Manager position will engage to secure new business in Alberta Market and renewal of existing key accounts and will promote SCC as the destination for business convention and special events.

Job Details: The Sales Manager will focus on convention sales with-in Alberta. The role will work with existing and prospective clients and Edmonton Tourism to optimize economic impact for the city. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of related sales experience in large convention centre or hotel and hold a university degree or diploma in related area of study. Superior Interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, along with strategic thinking and planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is a requirement and CRM software experience would be great asset. The candidate should also have up to date knowledge of market trends and established network of contacts.
