Leading Calgary’s tourism efforts domestically, nationally and internationally. Tourism Calgary works with major sporting and cultural events, tour operators and travel media. Tourism in Calgary annually contributes over $1.7 billion in visitor spending to the local community and employs 1 in 10 working Calgarians.  
 
THE POSITION  
 
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, the Coordinator, Marketing will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and support the execution of marketing campaigns and projects throughout the year. This is a full-time position.   
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  
 
Campaigns   
 
• Coordinate the execution of marketing programs in alignment with overall strategic marketing plan and Tourism Calgary brand  
• Coordinate and track the progress of various marketing campaign deliverables including completion within deadlines, budget, and measuring results  
• Coordinate the production of marketing collateral 
• Coordinate with internal, external, and agency of record as required to support the execution of marketing programs including communication, creative, content and media plan development, and website updates  
• Develop social creative and basic media plans as needed 
• Develop written partner content as needed  
• Develop social ad copy and creative as needed 
• Work collaboratively with agency partners and internal team to support quality and ontime/budget deliverables  
• Provide recommendations and insights to Manager, Marketing to strengthen campaigns 

 Partnership Relations  
 
• Develop and maintain strong partner and industry relationships  • Work with campaign partners to obtain digital and video assets, offers, and other details that support campaigns  
• Provide on-going member-related updates, communication materials, and reporting  
• Coordinate with campaign partners to share creative, receive approvals/feedback, provide reporting materials, and ensure prompt follow-up to partner requests  
• Coordinate contact between partners and other Tourism Calgary departments 
• Provide recommendations for partner opportunities/development and support partner collaboration  
• Support in on-boarding partners to campaigns  
• Support in presenting campaign results and industry learnings for partner reporting  
 
Administration 
 
• Develop campaign, monthly, quarterly, and funding reporting components as required  
• Track campaigns components, media plans, and results  
• Review, process and track all invoices 
• Support in development of presentations and other communication materials  
 

QUALIFICATIONS  

• University Degree, Marketing, Business, or Communications preferred.  
•  2-3 years relevant work experience.  
• Strong command of marketing concepts and experience with the development and execution of marketing campaigns (including creative and media plan development). 
• Strong project management skills.  
• Strong budget management skills. 
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft platforms (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and identify and adapt to changing priorities.  
• Strong interpersonal skills, highly motivated, organized, and possess strong attention to detail.  
• Strong ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
