Position Summary

Reporting to the CEO; the Executive Director, Finance, Administration and IT is responsible for providing management planning, development and delivery of all financial and management reporting, enterprise risk, contracting and performance measurement. This experienced professional has detailed knowledge of FOIP and acts as the FOIP Coordinator at Travel Alberta by responding to requests and ensuring the protection of personal information to Team Members. The Executive Director, Finance, Administration and IT is an integral partner in setting the strategic and tactical direction of the organization in relation to budgeting, forecasting, contracts, financial reporting and business intelligence.  This position is a senior member of the Executive Leadership Team providing leadership and advice to the CEO and members of the Travel Alberta team.  

Position Requirements

As Executive Director, Finance, Administration and IT you have knowledge of the full cycle accounting functions (AR, AP, and General Journal) to lead your team successfully. You have experience implementing and enforcing financial policies, practices and procedures to support the overall operations of the organization.  Your ability to work autonomously combined with your analytical, collaborative and organized approach aids in corporate strategic planning and guiding business intelligence. Your superior communication skills will educate Team Members and nurture partnerships throughout the tourism industry.  

Your degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, complemented with at least five years of experience in a financial or strategic management role, with the achievement of your Professional Accounting Designation (CGA, CMA, CA) is required for this role. Some travel may be required. This position is based in the Calgary office.
