The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Great time management and superb organizational skills
  • Demonstrated Conflict Management skills
  • Ability to work as a team player within the companies included in staff accommodation
  • Flexibility to work a fluctuating schedule when required
  • Computer proficiency within Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of the Alberta Landlord and Tenant Act.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Prior to an employee assignment: ensure all accommodations are cleaned, furniture is adequate, and nothing is broken
  • Organize staff arrivals with the Human Resources Department and staff 
  • Pick-up new employees at bus, train, or other scheduled place at various hours of the day and evening; move them into their allotted accommodation
  • Organize cleaning of all accommodations
  • Organize or repair any maintenance needed at residences, including removal of broken items and trash to the transfer station. Organize yard work and snow removal.
  • Complete all documentation (rental agreement, inspection report, rules & regulations, resident fire safety) for corporate and tenants
  • With help from each department supervisor get all staff’s Move Out date and time: create a schedule
  • Conduct regular biweekly and weekly maintenance inspections of the accommodations
  • Cavell Apartments maintenance is dealt directly with management of the building
  • 1216 Cabin Creek Drive and 713 Geikie Street maintenance is dealt with directly through the Accommodation Supervisor
  • Conduct yearly inspections of all rental properties as required (furnace, water heater, structure, furniture and appliances)
  • Provide updates on a biweekly basis for RMSI-JTAC Payroll needs (Rental Deductions, Rental Charges, Damage Deposit Accrual and Refunds). Assess any damages and repairs to be charged to individual tenants. Collect rent if paid by cash or cheques, issue receipts for rent
  • Maintain accommodation apartment listings and rental properties – regularly update staff lists and provide to management at Cavell when necessary.

Manage/coordinate accommodations for up 80 employees for Marmot Basin and Jasper SkyTram at various times of the year.
