Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Industry Programs; the Specialist, Industry Programs is responsible for supporting, planning and executing industry participation programs that provide opportunities for Travel Alberta partners to position themselves in front of the Canadian consumer.  This role is an integral support in communicating with industry partners, developing relationships and implementing programs within the Canadian market.   

Position Requirements
As Specialist, Industry Programs your knowledge of the tourism industry and Alberta’s tourism product along with your innovative and collaborative approach towards the development of industry programs will engage a variety of industry and program stakeholders. This position is a liaison between business units, industry partners and third party vendors managing multiple projects concurrently within their allocated budgets.

Your organization, attention to detail together with your ability to act with conviction and your superior communication skills will establish and maintain relationships and partnerships in the promotion of Alberta. Your experience with reviewing creative, layout, design and editorial content for tourism packaging and media channels will allow you to develop and execute on unique opportunities that enhance Alberta’s position in the Canadian market.  

Your education in Tourism or Marketing is complemented with at least two years of marketing experience. Your dedication and passion has taken your career to this point. Now, it is time to advance to a new level by stepping into Travel Alberta’s exciting working environment!    

Special Requirements
Some travel is required. Some overtime may be required. This is a 1 year term position beginning the first week of January 2014.

This position is based in the Edmonton office. 
Classification: Specialist 1, Salary Range: $56,328 - $73,224
Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week, Employment Status: 1 Year Term
