Job Summary

The Sales Assistant will support the Director of Client Relations to generate revenue for the Association. 

The Sales Assistant will be required to:
  • Meet or exceed sales targets for from annual print publications, Stakeholders services and the online reservation system.
  • Represent the organization in a positive manner
  • Participate at CCTA meetings, client events, announcements and promotions
  • Update the member/stakeholder database and client files as necessary
  • Submit weekly invoices to the Director of Client Relations
  • Process sales leads
  • Represent the organization at trade shows and other events
  • Generate and qualify leads
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Schedule sales activity
  • Make sales calls to new and existing clients
  • Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
  • Respond to sales inquiries and concerns in person, by phone, and/or electronically
  • Follow up on sales activity 
  • Ensure customers' service satisfaction and good client relationships

Education and Experience
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft office suite
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of sales
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Knowledge of basic business principles
  • Experience in Sales
  • Experience in creating and delivering presentations
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets

Other Requirements
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required
  • Some travel may be required. Candidate must have a valid driver's licenses and may be require the personal use of a vehicle on occasion.
  • Criminal Record Check required
  • 37.5 hours per week
