The Manager, MCIT Sales is a new role within Tourism Canmore Kananaskis (TCK), and is responsible for generation of MCIT sales leads for TCK stakeholders and the overall development and promotion of Canmore Kananaskis as a MCIT destination.

The successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual with exceptional sales and relationship-building skills, excellent organization and follow-up skills, and ideally a minimum of 3 years working in MCIT Sales for hotels or destinations. Existing relationships within the industry and with key industry stakeholders are a strong asset. The role reports directly to the President & CEO of Tourism Canmore Kananaskis.

Core Responsibilities:

-Generation of short-term MCIT leads with primary focus on the regional marketing
-Generate immediate leads and long-term interest in Canmore Kananaskis as an MCIT destination through strategic development of MCIT and association relationships with partners throughout Canada and the USA
-Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
-MCIT Sales Administration

Candidate Requirements:

-Strong understanding of the Meeting, Conference & Incentive Travel Market
-Knowledge of and passion for Canmore Kananaskis
-Proven experience in generating and converting MCIT leads for stakeholders
-Proven experience in developing long-term sales relationships and partnerships 
-Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders and to understand stakeholder needs
-Attention to detail, strong organizational ability, ability to work under pressure, and a strong self-motivation to meet targets  
-Accountability for measurable, high quality, timely results      
 -Minimum of 3 years working in MCIT Sales for hotels or destinations
