Alto Awards

The Alto Awards recognize individuals and organizations committed to enriching Alberta’s tourism industry and who by their actions inspire others and demonstrate what can be achieved by working together. The Alto Awards will be presented in nine categories, and to the 2017 Alto Ambassador, at the Alto Awards gala, October 23, 2017, in conjunction with the 17th annual Travel Alberta Industry Conference in Banff, October 22-24, 2017. 

Alberta's Alto Award finalists have been announced, recognizing 26 tourism operators and organizations across Alberta for great service, marketing and more.

The Alto Alberta Pride Award was created to recognize a business or organization that captures the essence of the Alberta experience. What is the Alberta experience?   • Tourism Event or Festival of the Year

    The Alto for Tourism Event or Festival of the Year award is designed to celebrate events and festivals which drive tourism attendance to their region, highlight unique Alberta programming and brings an economic impact to their community.

    The Alto Tourism Media Award recognizes that the stories of travel media share with their audiences benefit both the tourism industry and travelers. This competition is open to all media – broadcast, print and online – who have produced a tourism-oriented piece that showcases Alberta.
