Travel Alberta’s media relations objective is to strategically increase exposure for Alberta as a travel destination by working with media influencers to proactively share stories about our province in regional, national and international markets. Our approach integrates traditional media content to highlight Alberta’s authentic experiences.

Travel Alberta regularly collaborates with our industry partners and the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) to share news stories and bring qualified online, print and broadcast media on assignment to Alberta from all our global markets.

    The Media team is pleased to assist with promoting your region, destination or tourism product through our Explore Alberta media visit program. Travel Alberta regularly brings media to Alberta and assists with hosting and itinerary arrangement for media visiting at least two regions within the province. For media visiting just one destination or attraction, we ask for the media to work directly with the nearest destination marketing organization for the region. The Explore Alberta media visit program presents opportunities for travel media from Travel Alberta’s target markets to experience first-hand the adventures that Alberta has to offer. In turn, travel media share Alberta’s stories online, in print and on broadcast channels. Travel Alberta’s key markets include Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, China, Japan and South Korea.
