That's a Wrap! Tourism Week 2019

Tourism Week was a very busy time for our industry. Check out all the highlights and success stories.

May 27-June 2 was a busy week for our industry! Every year Tourism Week is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the industry in Alberta and the positive impact it has on our economy.

In case you missed it, here are some of the highlights:

Tourism Week Greetings

Royce Chwin, CEO, Travel Alberta kicked off Tourism week in Edmonton with a message for Team Alberta.

Culinary Tours

Experiential travel is a critical factor in growing Alberta tourism. Visitors are seeking authentic experiences that are both ‘goose bump’ and Instagram-worthy. Culinary tourism continues to evolve, creating experiences that are both tantalizing and educational. Travel Alberta supports our industry partners by providing experience development insight and strategy and by raising awareness of Alberta experiences that are making their mark on the visitor economy. In partnership with Alberta Food Tours, Travel Alberta showcased two experiences, first in Edmonton and then in Calgary.

SHiFT 2020

SHiFT 2020 is coming to Calgary! Tourism Calgary and Travel Alberta made the announcement on May 28, in celebration of Tourism Week.  Learn More
