Share your stories from the last ten!
Alberta tourism has come a long way in the last ten years and we want to share YOUR amazing stories and results!
This year marks Travel Alberta’s 10th anniversary as a Crown corporation, and we want to commemorate Team Alberta’s collective successes over the last 10 years by highlighting your accomplishments and what you’ve learned to take your business or organization to the next level! You may have seen the concept during Tourism Week.
We’re hoping you’ll share your successes, challenges, triumphs and more with us and your fellow industry partners, which we’ll showcase in upcoming features on our Industry Hub website and corporate social media channels, and in Connections e-newsletter. We’ll also be sharing photos, memories and trivia at the Travel Alberta Industry Conference, October 27-29 in Banff.
Here is one great industry partner example to get you thinking!
Now in its 40th year, Red Arrow continues to provide a luxury experience at affordable prices in Alberta. In the past 10 years, Red Arrow has grown from providing access to ten communities in Alberta to 26 communities! Over the years, Red Arrow has also expanded to appeal to long haul travellers by providing airport service at the Calgary International Airport in 2010 and, in 2016, started offering connections to Edmonton International Airport with Ebus.
“Considering ourselves a ‘people transportation company’ not a bus company, speaks to how we think about connectivity and travellers and leaves us open to embracing change and innovation to further enhance the experience we provide,” says Leigh Abra, Communications and Marketing Manager at Red Arrow.
It’s stories like this that highlight the passion, pride and innovation of tourism businesses in Alberta, contributing $8.5 billion to the provincial economy, creating jobs for hard-working Albertans and growing communities.
No matter if your business is big or small, operating for more than 10 years or two years, we want to hear from you!
