Launched by Travel Alberta in 2013, the Canada’s West Marketplace (CWM) Scholarship Program was developed to provide coaching and financial support to tourism businesses whose products are ready for promotion to international markets (see Travel Alberta’s Export-Ready Checklist). The program supports Travel Alberta’s business strategies by identifying and preparing businesses to enter the international market–driving incremental revenue from high potential markets and segments.

At Canada’s West Marketplace held in Richmond, BC, November 17-21, seven Alberta industry partners completed their third-year of the scholarship program and were presented with a certificate of completion by Travel Alberta Business Development VP Karen Soyka at the awards ceremony.
