2014 Travel Alberta Client Satisfaction Survey Results

Travel Alberta’s success is directly tied to the success of Alberta’s tourism industry, and our commitment to listening and acting on feedback from our tourism partners makes us a stronger provincial marketing organization.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the respondents who completed the 2014 Travel Alberta Client Satisfaction Survey during November 2014. The insights gained from the survey are extremely valuable, and now that the results are in, we are digging deep into the feedback to find ways to improve the services we provide to industry partners across the province.

Travel Alberta is proud to report an overall satisfaction rating of 81 per cent, an increase from 79 per cent in 2013. Positive survey results indicate that we are meeting our strategic objective of the past five years to support Alberta’s tourism partners with strategies and tactics to help grow their businesses and market their products.

The survey results clearly show which areas our industry is most satisfied with, and we will continue to refine the programs and services with high satisfaction ratings to stay timely and relevant. Industry feedback is also invaluable to help us improve.

The following are key highlights from the survey results:

  • Overall level of satisfaction with Travel Alberta: 81%
  • My organization would recommend Travel Alberta’s services to other Alberta tourism operators/organizations – 85% Agreed
  • My organization will continue to use Travel Alberta’s services – 84% Agreed
  • The Travel Alberta brand will help increase tourism visits and expenditures in Alberta – 85% Agreed

The following are the top three services used within the past year:

  • Communications from Travel Alberta (24% used more than 10 times)
  • The Alberta Tourism Information Service (ATIS) (11% used more than 10 times)
  • Cooperative marketing funding (5% used more than 10 times)
