Anaheim Ducks to Celebrate “Stampede Day” on Friday March 2 vs. Calgary Flames

The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club will observe “Stampede Day” at Honda Center, March 2, presented by Travel Alberta. The Calgary Stampede will take over the Honda Centre in Anaheim where the Ducks face off against the Calgary Flames.

Fans are invited to celebrate Calgary Stampede traditions at the “Stampede Tent” pre and post-game to will get a taste of The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. A variety of food, beverage, live music, fun and games awaits fans attending Friday’s game. Guests will experience line dancing, mechanical bull riding, a performance by Canadian country musician Jason Greeley, a top-four finalist from “Canadian Idol,” season two (2004), a chance to meet the Stampede Queen and Princesses, mid-way games and western-themed food. There will also be Calgary Stampede events during the half-time show. One lucky fan will win a 4-night trip for two to the Calgary Stampede (July 5 – 15, 2012).
