New Canadian Badlands executive director announced

Canadian Badlands Tourism has appointed Brad Tucker as Executive Director, effective immediately. Tucker succeeds Cindy Amos who served as Interim Executive Leadership for the organization since May, 2013.

“Canadian Badlands Tourism has made impressive progress in our mission over the last 16 months under Cindy’s leadership,” said Bob Long, President of Canadian Badlands Tourism. “Our board of directors is very confident that Brad Tucker has the skills and experience to take Canadian Badlands Tourism to the next level of excellence as a leader in tourism destination management.”

Brad Tucker was most recently Head of Visitor Services at Dinosaur Provincial Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, since 2008. He brings to his new role extensive experience in all aspects of tourism, including product development, branding, marketing, and coordinating diverse groups of stakeholders. His career includes roles at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller in program development, education and as a field technician.

“I am looking forward to working with shareholders and the tourism industry in the Canadian Badlands region as we continue together to build Alberta’s next iconic tourism destination,” said Tucker.
