The clock is set for the 100-Day Kick-Off to the Calgary Stampede

The clock is set for the Calgary Stampede’s 100-Day Kick-Off and as promised, there are some major announcements to share.

To get everyone in the Stampede spirit, the Downtown Attractions Committee will transform Olympic Plaza into Rope Square, complete with square dancers, pancakes, bacon and 5,000 Centennial cowbells.

The lunch-time festivities will feature major announcements including the much anticipated 2012 Calgary Stampede Centennial Parade Marshal and the release of a Calgary-wide Stampede celebration.

Dance the lunch hour away as country music artist and star of Stampede’s “Century” Paul Brandt performs live and dine at one of the five food trucks on-site serving up great grub for only a buck-a-truck!

So, get your head in a hat, your toes in some boots and wear your buckle boldly.
