Deadline to register for 2013 Spring Training & Showcase is February 1

Be a Showcase Exhibitor and promote your attraction, product, service or region directly to front-line Visitor Information Centre (VIC) staff.

Spring Training and Showcase 2013 will be held May 7-8 at the Radisson Hotel Edmonton South.

This event is part of an annual training event to deliver product knowledge and customer service training to front-line VIC staff, supervisors, managers and volunteers from across Alberta. VIC staff in turn use this knowledge to assist the thousands of visitors who stop in at our province’s VICs.

If you are selected as an exhibitor you will be assigned to one of four two-hour time slots in either the morning or afternoon of Tuesday May 7 or Wednesday May 8. Each two-hour session will have a regional focus that will feature one or two regions of Alberta (North, Rockies, Central, South, Edmonton and Area, Calgary and Area). This means that you will be grouped with exhibitors from your region and that staff will be able to contextualize each region’s products and services. During the two hour session, you will have the opportunity to make a 9 minute presentation to 12 different groups of VIC staff that will rotate to your booth. The size of the groups will on average have 15 people. By the end of the two-hour session, you will have had the opportunity to inform over 150 front line visitor information staff from around Alberta about your product or service.
